Tires, Transfers and Thanksgiving

Once again I have been terrible about posting so there is quite a bit to update everyone on!

First... Brent's parents came to visit in mid November. They were doing a show up in salt lake so that is where we spent most of our time. I love going to the shows. It is so much fun to see all the different booths and to see all of the new products that are coming out (although we can never really afford anything there). If there is one thing that Brent's parents love most it is definitely eating out, which kills the diet I am on! Friday night we went out to outback. I had done my homework and realized I wanted something off the kids menu... THE JOEY BURGER! I had planned out all day that this burger allowed me the right amount of calories and sounded amazing... So when the waiter go to me I turned bright red and sped through

"I know you aren't really allowed to do this but I am on a diet and working really hard and so all I really want is the joey burger off the kids menu. I know I am not young enough but that is just what I want."

Everyone started laughing at me but hey, I GOT MY JOEY BURGER!

Saturday night after the show ended we went out to Bucca de Peppo (a family style Italian restaurant). It is amazing but since I am on a diet I downed about 6 glasses of water. Well it worked perfect! I limited my eating and it worked out great except one hitch! While driving home, and I started to really feel those 6 glasses of water we heard some loud clanks and then realized we had a tire blow out!

Oh did I mention it was snowing too! So in the snow, with my bladder about to explode I "helped" Brent change the tire. I was not a happy camper but the tire got change with no real damage.

Second. I have been transferred. This happened about three weeks ago now but I am now at the Provo branch not at the American Fork. It is about 5 minuted closer to home and closer to BYU so I can visit Brent's school (although I have yet to do this). It is bittersweet because American Fork was my first office.

Finally, thanksgiving. Of course no pictures (I need to get better than that). Once again Brent's Parents came to visit. Maren was in Ogden so I got to see my little nephew and check on the one currently baking. I also got to visit with Kara and Doug in from California. It was fun seeing my family but Mama and Papa Huntley were definitley the main attraction. They had brought out niece Tyler who was so much fun to hang out with all weekend! Brent decided to do a show for his parents and it worked out really well for us! We were able to pay for our Christmas plans/presents!

Just to put any confusion to rest I did not cook. We went to Chuck-a-Rama and it was DELICIOUS!

I really need to start blogging more often! Perhaps that will be my new years resolution. I mean that is coming up pretty quickly!

Halloween Adventures

Oh Halloween! We did celebrate it, but because we have no little kids to have fun with we did it our own way... overeating and scaring ourselves silly.

We went to wingers for their all you can eat wings. I had gift certificates for buy one get one free so it was a great deal and Brent was really excited about this for a long time before.
Mike was our server (and a good friend for anyone who was not already aware). Everyone in the restaurant was dressed up and Mike made his costume himself. He is Links (NOT ZELDA) and got most of his costume from the ladies department at DI (I thought Blair would enjoy this!)

Erica and Spencer just enjoying the fun before our food came!

Oh aren't we cute?!?! We didn't dress up, I have never really liked dressing up. Yes that is my parks and rec sweatshirt from this summer, I have to represent!

Wow this much food is crazy! We took home a boxful and still haven't been able to put it all down!

After Wingers we went back to our place and carved pumpkins... Another thing I am simply terrible at. Jeremy is a true artist, he was simply pondering his canvas.

I am just drawing on the face before we set into carving it.

Erica was finishing her pumpkin up. Spencer is in the background, they are such techies they looked up their design before carving their pumpkin.

Here is Erica and Spencer's. I love how it is throwing up! I think it is so funny!

Here is our pumpkin! I like how eerie it looks! I think this is the best pumpkin we had ever made.

And here is Jeremy's pumpkin! This isn't a very good picture but it is a grave with a hand coming out of the ground! Always the most creative of us all!
Overall it was a fun Halloween! We rounded out the night by watching the movie called "The House in Connecticut". It was scary but not scary enough to keep me from sleeping! Halloween isn't my favorite holiday but it gave us a good excuse to have some fun!

Last Week in Portland

We spent this past summer in Portland and on our last Sunday there My mom, dad, Brent and myself went to this garden in downtown Portland. I am not sure what I was expecting besides a nice Sunday walk but this garden was pretty amazing.
When we arrived the gates were open and there was no one in the ticket booths. We read the signs and it said that Sundays were free, as were most other days and times (we wondered where they got all their funds to keep the place maintained.
This little waterfall was at the very beginning of the bath.
Brent loved climbing out onto any tree that had fallen into the many lakes.

This is one of the little ponds around. There was some sort of meeting going on over by the jet of water. The whole time we were there Brent kept pointing out different types of birds. Apparently when he younger he loved loved LOVED birds! It was fun having him point out all the different kinds, I can't believe he still remembers all the different types of ducks!

This was a fun last outing while out in Portland. I am still amazed at how beautiful and area this is and whoever maintained this park did a great job of creating a very peaceful area with complimenting architecture!

Any fun Parks we should visit next time we are in Portland or heck while we are in Utah?

Only in threat of death..

So Brent and I have set out some new goals, we are getting into some better life habits. Because of this we have taken a few steps forward. We now wake up at 4:45 am and going to the Orem Recreation Center where we have a monthly pass. This is all my fault of course. Brent offered to train me at home but I told him that I simply could not do it on my own and I needed someone there to push me even when I didn't want to, and that if it were him we might have some serious marital issues. I have always loved swimming, it came easy and was so fun and addicting in high school that working out was easy. I had a coach to write my work outs and friends right next to me to keep me motivated. I just knew I needed something similar
Well this week has, in short,... sucked! I hate getting started working out, especially when I am not in shape at all. I have been trying to take a couple different classes to see if anything strikes my fancy. My strength class is a lot of fun but I really hate being so tired. Well today I tried something I was hoping to really enjoy because my sister, Maren, really enjoyed it. Spinning.
Here is how the morning went down. At 4:45 am- "BEEP BEEP" went the alarm and brent and I agreed we should just go to the class at 5:30 am. The alarm goes off and Brent hops out of bed while I cherish the extra 2-3 minutes before I am forced out of bed. Brent and I showed up a few minutes early and wandered into the room hoping to look not so out of place but we were immediately spotted. The instructor came over and and asked if we were new and helped us adjust the seat, handles and resistance. I told the teacher we could only stay for half the class because of work and she was totally cool. Pedaling at first was fine, and then it got not so fine... and then it got worse... and then it got bad, and then it got miserable, and then it got unbearable and I thought...
"I hate this, I really hate this. Why does brent keep staring? I probably look as miserable as I feel. I could just stop... no one can stop me. I could just stop pedaling and be done with this miserable act."
Well let me tell you... I HATE HATE HATE SPINNING!!!! But it is basically more than that I hate all working out minus swimming!
It is then that the ephiphany came... I love swimming because stopping is not a legitimate option. If you stop swimming the consequence is drowning and death. Embarrassment I can deal with but death... probably not. To stop swimming I would have to swim across other lanes and climb out of the pool, it was just easier to keep swimming to the end of the pool. Then it was only the 2 second commitment of pushing off the wall until I was committed to returning again. So I have figured out that the best work outs for me are... THE ONES WHERE DEATH IS THE ONLY OTHER OPTION!!!!
When I have the choice of working out or dying I will inevitably choose to work out... I can't be the only one that feels this way so I have posted a new poll... what workout type are you?
No worries I will keep working out... and I will keep hating ever second of it... IF YOU HAVE SUGGESTION TO MAKE THIS EASIER LET ME KNOW!

Cake Making Class and Fourth of July

So this summer we were in Portland. We lived with my mom and dad (thank you mommy and daddy for being so amazing this whole summer by the way!). Toren and Audrey are also living in Oregon City and so we were nice and close. Well my mom thought this would be a good opportunity to for she Audrey and myself to bond over a cake making class! It was four classes long and we are really enjoyed it! Although I am absolutely terrible! Here is my beautiful cake... There is a poll... I want you to guess what these little things are suppose to be! So I was suppose to waitress at Shari's on the fourth but I got off really early and was able to come home and celebrate with Toren, Audrey, Brent, Blair and Kalen! We had a lot of fun partying since Mom and Dad were up in Pullman with The Potato.

Baxter really enjoyed the fireworks! We always thought he would be really scared but nope, he was all about the action!
Brent and I celebrating the fourth with my favorite part!!! SPARKLERS!!! (yes that is a piccolo Pete bomb in Brent's hand!)Toren getting ready to blow a bomb. We did it in the back yard because there were a bunch of small kids in the front yard.
Isn't he attractive? Just had to remind you I am married to a hot hot man, although we really need to find a shirt that matches those shorts!

We made a lot of fun memories this summer. I am really grateful to have such a fun family and especially that Audrey is apart of it! We had fun in the cake making class. It was the most fun though when it came to the last class and since none of us really liked the teacher we all individually chose to skip and watch so you think you can dance at home! Oh fun nights!

Beach Trip

So we have a lot of catching up to do. Our camera broke mid summer and then we weren't able to get it repaired until just recently. but now that we have it back I have photo's or this summer that we have some explaining to do.

The house we stayed at had a ping-pong table that was amazing! I was terrible and Blake, Toren and Dad ran the table. I remember being terrible but my commentary was stingily accurate and hilarious! ASK ANYONE WHO WAS THERE AND THEY WILL TELL YOU MY HUMOR WAS UNFORGETTABLE! My mom here is not prepared for my intense ping pong abilities!
After a victorious play I choose to use a combination of gloating and smack talking all in one!

While walking the pear we found this sign... sounds like this guy was a major people pleaser... the other funny thing is this sign was at the opening of and vacant lot!

The development where the beach house was located at had some undeveloped area. After Brent found these wild deer he had to show me, so our bike ride led us to this point! We were within 10 feet of a wild deer! It was pretty neat!

This is my mom with Frisbee, Baxter and Braden on a walk, were were waving from the area of the deer!So what was the reason of this beach trip? BRADEN! All the Forsberg Clan needs as an excuse to go on vaca is one cute little boy! I wonder how quickly we will all get work off once there are two little boys calling our names! Blake is so patient with his little boy!
So I like the stupid smut magazines, it is a definite trial of mine but looking at my sister I can't help but this movie star. Seriously how does she manage to be gorgeous, thin and pregnant all in one? Well Maren by the time you see me at Christmas I plan to be 15 pounds lighter which means I will be smaller than you! Granted you will have a baby inside of you but we will pretend that doesn't matter ;)

Here are the crazy people attempting to boogie board (one of my favorite things) in the freezing cold. Brent eventually braved the cold, but I never did, it was to cold for my blood!
This was a great trip and I can't wait to do it again! Next summer it is with the Huntley side though! I love my cute nieces and nephews!

I know I know....

Ok I know I have been absolutely terrible at keeping a record of what we have been doing this summer, so I thought I would give you the reader digest version of this summer.

1.) Brent began working with Robert Kerr (A man from my home ward who just opened his own firm). I was so impressed with Robert because he really went out of his way to get Brent started on the right path. Well he set Brent up to interview at another law firm in West Linn, which was started by two men in our stake. Well they liked him so much that they gave him a job! He has been really enjoying it and is really considering going back next year to work with them again after considering all of his options of course!

2.) I am still working with the Oregon City Parks and Recreation department. My camp is going well and I have a great co-worker named Jason. He is really chill and helps me not get to stressed when things get super crazy. At this point the weeks are flying by pretty fast and I cannot believe that I only have two more weeks left. Note to self bottle rockets are an awesome craft. I am also working at Shari’s and although the 13 hour days get really hard but I am still enjoying the job a lot and am really sad to be leaving!

3.) So far Brent has got to have a lot of fun. He found out that his family was at the coast and took off for the weekend to go spend time with them. He was so excited because he got to drive his brother’s big truck all around the sand. He also went on a camping trip with Toren and his scout troop. What more is there to life then telling jokes around a fire? Well I have no idea… and I decided not to ask Brent.

4.) Well you bet I didn’t let Brent have all the fun! We went to the beach with my family and had a great time in Rockaway. We went to the Tillamook Cheese Factory and played in the ice cold ocean for a while! I couldn’t believe how much fun little Braden has gotten but he still isn’t my biggest fan… yet. On Saturday Brent went on a bike ride and found three deer that were so friendly. We were able to just relax close to them and get within 10 feet of them! It was very exciting.

Well sad to say that our summer is already coming to an end. We have our plans in place for moving back and are excited for the move but are going to miss everyone we have worked with this summer.
