Over Eating?

I have a new job, and exactly a week after starting I was convinced by Lianne (as well as Derek, Kurt and Mike) to attempt the 24 inch challenge! This consists of eating a 24 inch sub sandwich in under 30 minutes! To the victor went a T-shirt, picture on the wall, as well as free drinks for life!

It started out pretty good. I would say I even enjoyed the first 6 inches!

Joining Lianne and Myself was Trevor and Mike. Mike finished his in 7 minutes flat! It was amazing! I bet he could have done it again to! Trevor finished in 26 minutes.

I was feeling really good up until the halfway point and then the saltiness of the turkey hit me. Every bite I took I almost threw up, I was worrying everyone! Do you see that trash can behind me? I took the last few bites standing over it up in case.

Lianne did great. It took her about 28 minutes to finish. She also had turkey and said it tasted terrible as well!
I finally took off the remaining turkey and just swallowed it like a pill. Sometimes that is the only way to get it down!

There were no good pictures of me, but Kurt did get a nice long interview of me as the whole process went down!
In the end I finished 2nd, with 21 minutes 30 seconds! I got the T-Shirt and the picture, although I am not sure I will ever be returning to claim any free drinks! I didn't get a chance to tell Brent all about it before hand, so after he just said "Okay, so now we have to go back so I can do it too!" Funny thing is, my mom totally predicted that reaction!!!

Needless to say, I have been a little careless in my eating lately! The diet started yesterday and I want 5 pounds gone by April 1st!

BYU Basketball Game!

Have you heard that BYU Basketball is actually fairly noteworthy this year? It is mainly because of a player named James Fredette (JIMMER). He is 6' 2" and looks like he should play tennis not basketball, but the kid is amazing! Since this is Brent's last semester we decided to go to one last game before he graduates!

We went with two of our friends, Sam and Terri Anne. They have an adorable daughter named Chloe. I love this little girl like she is my niece! She is so wonderful and she has such amazing parents. Unfortunately, she was uninvited to the game, but got to spend some quality time with her cousins!
At the game. The Marriot Center didn't really fill up until 3 minutes before game time! Sam, looking sharp as always!

I wasn't expecting and introduction like this! The white curtains fell and there was a movie, music and light show to get the audience stoked!

At the game!

This is who it was all about. he had a really hard first half and only scored 5 points by half time (he averages 30 points a game). In the second half BYU was doing better but Jimmer was still struggling. Finally, he hit a gorgeous fade-away 3 and it was like everything clicked. You could tell he was stressed but after that is was just natural looking. He ended the game with 23 points and BYU won 71-59!

I typically rush to the car to beat traffic but we decided to wait for the victory bell to be rung. We thought it was going to be the player of the game, Charles Abouo, but it turned out to be someone we didn't know, named Logan.

Waiting for the magic!

TERRI ANNE! IT DID TURN OUT CUTE!

The one and only Cosmo! He is a pretty impressive mascot!

Here is what we live next to! Europe sure did help us to appreciate nature more!

After the game, we made milkshakes and watched the office. The exhaustion was overwhelming.
It was great to be able to participate in BYU sports one last time! I hope we continue to do well, because it may make March Madness bearable!

What a Bum!

Brent and I have been back from Europe for over a month now, and the idea of blogging still makes me shutter! Not only am I a little worn out, but I also feel that anything we are up to right now doesn't quite reach the coolness factor of Greece, Krakow and London. Well it is just time for me to Buck up, because some things have changed!

First, I got a job! I work for a company call property solutions. We design websites for property management companies. If you are every looking for an apartment complex online, you will probably stumble upon one of our sites. I really love it. The work is really interesting and just creative enough to not get to mundane. Everyone in the company is obsessed with foosball, so I play it on my breaks and usually during lunch. I AM TERRIBLE! Everyone is so nice to still be on my team, but one day I will be super good!

Second, Brent is still looking for a job, all over the US. The law market is really suffering right now, so if you feel inclined to pray that he can find something good I would appreciate it!

Third, Brent and I were just called to be Sunday School teachers for ALL the youth. Apparently, there is only about 8 of them!

Finally, Nope there really isn't a finally. I thought there was and yet there isn't!

We are slowly moving along, but I think Brent and I are both ready for this last semester to be over! Wish us luck!
