While I was suppose to be at graduation...

I was sitting in a chair hoping that the dentist would just be done already... Well I finally got my wisdom teeth out and it was miserable to say the least. I opted for the nitrous oxide on top of the local numbing stuff. The Nitrous Oxide smelled really good... like cotton candy, and it made me a little high but when he started sawing I heard it all, and luckily felt very very little of it. I had two teeth that were so hard to get out... The other two only took about 5 minutes at most. I was shaky the entire time. The pressure wasn't the worst but all the sounds were pretty bad and I forgot my ipod, which Maren suggested, and I should have listened.
The nurse felt pretty bad because she said they going to be easy and then they turned out to be pretty difficult. She said that one of the top roots was over three inches long. The dentist said that I should make sure all of my kids get there teeth out when they are 15 or 16 and not wait as long as I did...
Ok, so on the way home I had gauze in but I kept bleeding through and had nothing to stop the bleeding. It got everywhere! So I posted a couple of pictures to show how it got everywhere. I am sorry I look terrible and swollen already... please forgive me...

See all those spots and mark on my shirt? Yup, my friend that is blood mixed with spit. It is disgusting, I am still pretty numb so I couldn't feel it when blood started coming out of my mouth.

Here is up close. I am trying to smile, and it isn't working for anyone. I would save these to your personal computer because they are definatly black mail quality. I am already so swollen and it has only been about an hour. I am currently sitting on the couch with frozen peas on my cheek.

Ok, so I am doing fine and I took the pain pills about twenty minutes ago so I am kinda starting to loose it a little. I will call everyone as soon and I am numb and ok...

What The...!?!?!?

Well Apparently it has been Spring for a couple weeks now, but When We looked out the Window what did we see...??? Not popcorn popping on the Apricot tree but a good 6 inches of snow! This is crazy! I mean we are in the week of finals and although it has been stormy all of last week, a snow blizzard is completely uncalled for! But we did not suffer the most, there was someone who suffered a lot more than Brent or I and I would like to show what her snow experience has been like all winter long!

This is what our front yard looked like when Brent and I were getting ready for school... Brent had to change out of his shorts and flip flops into some winter appropriate clothing

Caliah, like most days, jumped out of bed when my alarm went off and ran to with window, but today was a little different than most of the other 70 degree weather days we have been experiencing... When she looked out the window and saw all the snow....

She had to turn away out of disgust! She was very upset by all the snow on the ground, and she knew immediately what that meant for her day...

So instead of going outside to chase birds or play with friends she went over to her favorite spot and quickly resumed sleeping. I like this picture because you can tell she is not happy about being inside and more importantly about being "forced" to go back to bed.
But a Kitty can only sleep so long and eventually she had to occupy herself with something else... Luckily Brent brought home a new toy for Caliah and I left out some fun toys for her to play with to occupy the time... go ahead and watch!

Luckily ALL OF THE SNOW was gone the next day, I mean talk about crazy Utah weather but I am glad it was only a day long fluke! Hope everyone else is having beautiful weather, and hope that it gets more beautiful before we leave so we can have a bonfire before we go!

Conference Weekend: Sunday

Sunday was the most calm of the whole weekend, Thankfully! Last conference weekend we went over to our friends Sam and Terri Annes and had a wonderful Omelet Breakfast! Well this year we did it ever better!

They had just recently moved... THE DAY BEFORE! So when we went over the apartment was still being assembled. So the venue was brand new and it was set up in the exact format of my old apartment at Heather Cove. Brent and I are so jealous because it is a really nice place!

It was also more fun because Erin and Warren came over (Sam and Terri Annes old neighbors) and brought a wonderful casserole that we made into breakfast burritos! So for our breakfast we had:
Breakfast Burritos
Pancakes
Bacon
Sausages
Omelets

Needless to say we had enough to feed a small to moderate size army! Brent didn't eat as much as he could, but I did and we were so full that we didn't eat the rest of the day!

We were finishing up breakfast as conference was beginning so we all go to enjoy the message. After conference was over Brent and I went home to shower and get ready for the day and then we watched second session!

Around 6 pm we went back over to Sam and Terri Annes for card games! Basically I rocked at Nertz, when Brent had a poor showing until we had and ice cream break... Well apparently ice cream is Brent's secret elixir because he came back with a vengeance and almost beat me... Luckily I had a good enough showing in the first half I was able to maintain.

All in All if was a busy and terribly fun! Conference weekend always has a special feel and we love when it comes around!

Conference Weekend: Saturday

Well, I told you all that I would write again and I am! Well to start some of you know that Kara came into town for conference weekend to see her dad and sisters (megs and jen). Well I don't know why they did it, but they let me tag along for the whole day! First they went and got pedicures but I had some homework I needed to finish up. After they came and picked me up! We first went to Kohls because Jenny is still on a mad hunt for a job and Kara thought that her wardrobe may be holding her back a little bit. After searching for about an hour we were able to find a really cute, and inexpensive outfit perfect for all of her interviewing needs!

After that we were STARVING! Kara had missed one food place since moving out to California which is KNEADERS. We had delicious Turkey, Bacon, and Avacado sandwhiches. I had been there a few times and wasn't too impressed but now I know what to get and it is a lot better! We just sat around and talked and it was nice to hear that Kara felt similarly about being a college graduate, to me. Which is we both enjoyed college but don't feel it prepared us for anything!
After that we ran around to different places, like Micheals and Shop-ko. After that we ran back to our place, where brent was diligently doing homework, to watch the second session of conference.
We had to stop at Shop Ko to get hair dye, since megan wanted to die her hair again. Well she got a different color than she did last time and it kinda turned out... the color of a fire truck... well we figured Uncle Bob was not going to like it at all, so Jenny and I ran to walmart and got an Ash color to dull the red. It look pretty in the end, but it was touch and go there at the end.
After that they invited me up to visit doug and the kids. Once we got up to their apartment in salt lake we made soup, salad and rolls which was all delicious. Doug then checked out my teeth to let me know what I need to get done which was super nice... after he finished, Evie took a turn to check out my teeth and she gave me a clean bill of health!
After dinner it was playing with Evie time and just chatting. Doug pulled out his class slideshows to show Jenny, Megan, and me what he deals with all day! There were a ton of gross things! Every lump, bump, or growth filled with infection and gross color was in that slide show and I decided to never become a doctor.
After relaxing and playing around it was time to go home! Jenny took me back down and brent and I relaxed for the rest of the night.
It was so much fun seeing Kara! I always forget how much fun it is to have family around and since Brent and I are so far away from Mine and His it is so nice that they included me in all the fun! It was a great day! Stay tuned for Conference Weekend: Sunday! It is going to be a lot of fun!

Conference Weekend: PRELUDE!

Twice a year conference weekend comes along. Brent and I usually look forward to the peace and calm of the weekend as we get to listen to the messages of the Apostles and Prophets and this weekend was no exception! Usually we just meet up with friends to listen to conference but this weekend we, well more accurately I, got a little bit more than usual. So much Happened this weekend you are going to get it in three posts!!!
note: There is no pictures because both our cameras are not working :(

It all started on Friday night when Brent got an e-mail that he has been asked to join the Moot Court team. Since most of you have no idea what that is, I will explain. In law school there are three prestigious clubs Law Review, Moot Court, and Trial Ad, which in the order from the prestigious to the least. Well Brent got to the semi finals but then got beat out by the girl who won it all, and thought he didn't have a chance!

Here is the problem, Law review is really intense and the try out is the week after finals and it is a 40 hour, week long try out, and a lot of work if he gets on the Review. Brent is more nervous about Law Review rather than excited, but he is super excited about Moot Court. So the dilemma is... Does Brent try out for Law Review and give up Moot court but keep some doors open for the future he is not sure that he will want or does he not try out and we get to go to Boise and Oregon a Week earlier. HELP US DECIDE: in the pole next.

Friday Night we went to an indoor BBQ, while it was snowing, for one of Brent's writing classes. It was a lot of fun getting to know the people who Brent spends the majority of his day with! There were a lot of really fun people and a ton of really great food! I couldn't believe how much I ate! It was ridiculous! There was burgers, hot dogs, broccoli salad, strawberry bacon salad with a vinaigrette and fruit and veggies of ALL KINDS! His teachers house was so beautiful, and big and we told her that one day we hope to live in the metaphorically down the street!

Brent also got the 100% award for the most 100% on quizzes! I also met one of the wives of one of Brent's really good friends and study buddies! She is really amazing and they just had a baby a little while ago so they are really busy but we told them to call us if they ever need a night out!

Well look forward to conference weekend Day 1, it will be coming soon!
