After a little whale watching, we went back to get a better look at the lighthouse. This was the actual home of the lighthouse keeper lived and maintained the lighthouse.
The staircase was so steep it was kinda freaky.
This is me waiting for Brent to finish taking picture. He was taking pictures of the view so I was people watching.
This is the full lighthouse. Next to the light house there is another building that is a museum about the lighthouse. The really cool part was how the lighthouse was actually how many glass pieces made up the light.
Once we finished at the lighthouse we went down to the tide pools. I am not sure we are spoiled with the Oregon tidepools (which are AMAZING) but these were lacking a life for me.
Brent modeling gorgeous gradation.
As we were driving out of the Loma park we noticed these cemeteries, so of course we had to take some pictures!
Next stop was the Mormon Battalion Center! Of course they have a wagon outside of the center.
The tour was pretty awesome, totally corny but pretty awesome. They had a real gun that the battalionners had to carry. It was really heavy and there was really no convenient way to hold it!
At the end of the tour we took a picture of us in the wild west. The missionaries who ran the center did a really amazing job. If you visit San Diego I recommend it for everyone, especially those with kids.
Brent with a Battalionner as we were headed out.
After a long day, we went into seaport village. It is a well known shopping center in San Diego. Brent and I decided to take ourselves out for a nice dinner since we get one so rarely. Originally, we thought we were going to eat at Harbor House, but wanted to do a little window shopping first.
While walking around seaport village, there was a man there with 50 birds set up. You would just point to which one you want to hold and he would put it on you. It was super great. The guy was so busy he didn't take my money so I dropped a few dollars in the box. I figure it is work a few dollars to hold a really cool bird!
Brent would not do a cute pose with these guys. I have no idea why! They are ADORABLE!
We decided against Harbor House and went to a Hawaiin place. We got chips and guacamole. the chips weren't just potatoes, they were different types of roots (taro, parsnip, sweet potato, regular potato, and corn chips) . It was super fun to have a fun to try something a little new but super delicious!
When Brent got his meal it came with the worlds tiniest banana. How adorable is that?!?! I literally had to take it home! I don't know why we didn't eat it!
As we were finishing up our dinner this amazing firework show started outside our window. I am going to give Brent the credit for planning it, even though I doubt he would know where to start putting on something like that.
It was so nice to have a dinner where we didn't worry about the money (too much) and just enjoyed some really delicious food.
Day two in San Diego was super busy but so much fun! I am so glad Brent and I just enjoy relaxing together!
