San Diego 3

Another great day at the beach began.  Brent and I learned that we wake up to early...  We went in to La Jolle Beach to check out the seals and the caves.  The seals were fun to watch but man they were smelly!
This is where we were headed!  A Cave!  Brent and I are kinda cave people, we like to see neat things, and this is where we were heading.
It was $4.00 per person to go down to see the cave.  Heading down was pretty ominous.  We couldn't see light or see any water or anything.  It was probably 200 stairs to the bottom.
this is what we found when we got to the bottom!  Pretty neat!  I was hoping that the platform would be bigger.  When Brent and I were planning the trip to San Diego we thought we were going to do a kayak trip to get closer to the cave (pictured in back). Well after being in the cave, we realized that going into the cave with a kayak would have been a bad idea!
Brent and I were going to play at the La Jolle Beach (which is why I am in a swim suit in all the pictures) but Brent didn't get why would not just go to Oceanside and play with friends.  So we packed up and headed to Oceanside!  We went to play with friends at the beach, had lunch on the pier and toook and evening stroll down the piers

Isn't Brent and amazing photographer?
After playing in the ocean, in the pool, we made some s'mores!  James and Jadie taking care of the heavy toasting!
We took a stroll down the pier which is about a half mile from the condo we were staying at.  It was really fun to see how many people were out fishing at night!  We watched one man catch a crab.  It was scary because it got caught up in a chair and ended up pinching a man!  It was fun to see how a whole group of strangers were so invested in making sure the crab was caught!
We are so lucky to have such good friends that are so much fun to party with us!
Brent and I enjoying the pier.

It was really nice to get away for a long weekend.  The rest of the weekend was just relaxing and driving home.  I have to admit that I really do need to live a lot closer to the beach than I currently do!
