Conference Breakfast

One of our favorite celebrations we missed while we were in Europe was our Conference Breakfast Tradition. Usually, we get together with Sam and Terri Anne for Sunday morning conference and make breakfast and then listen to morning session. This time, however, Terri Anne was out of town so we had the pleasure of having Sam over for BOTH sessions!

Menu: Omelets, hash browns, sausage and OJ

I wasn't even allowed into the Kitchen while they were cooking!

The outcome! Sam is an AMAZING omelet chef!
The boys always enjoy themselves WAY to much!

After an amazing breakfast I cleaned the kitchen as Sam and Brent found other employment....

Pretty awesome huh? The made 4-5 of these and then built battleships and castles.

While they were goofing off I was in charged of making dinner... HOMEMADE PIZZA!!!

The dough took about 3 hours because I was trying a new recipe.

After an amazing afternoon session we got to enjoy the spoils of my hard work!
The best part of our tradition is getting to listen to conference together. I always like to hear what stood out to other people and talk about the messages that we have heard.

The food isn't bad either though! I am hoping people will come visit us every conference weekend so we can keep this trend alive!

Brent Extra Curriculars

Man, what can I say about Brent. He is smart, funny and has about a millions hobbies. This boy could entertain himself for years with the hobbies he currently has AND he is finding new ones everyday. I can barely keep up!

Lately, two have taken up the majority of his time. First is his inter-mural flag football team with his law school buddies! There last game was this past Wednesday.

I usually skip it because after working, going to the gym, cleaning and everything else I do... I am tired. Since it was his last, however, I made and appearance!
They ended up losing the game. Brent said there were to many guys there and it was FREEZING so when he was waiting his turn he just wanted to get warm and therefore he didn't have a good game. I am guessing this is pretty accurate since it looked like no one had a good game.

Brent second hobbie is Ju Jitsu. This semester he decided to take a ju jitsu class at BYU. I thought it would be fun and encouraged him. Today, was his end of the semester tournament.

Stretching out...

In his GI...

The tournament was REALLY REALLY poorly organized. I was sitting around in the same chair for roughly 6 hours. This is what I was doing for some of it.

This is Brent's first fight. It was against a guy who was about 30-40 pounds heavier and had been training for 11 months (5 days a week).

I was super impressed because Brent kept this guy on his toes.

There were no rounds, it was a fight until submission. His first fight was over in about 5 minutes but Brent said he was exhausted after 20 seconds!

This is his second fight. There were roughly 5 hours in between and after calling him up to fight, he had to wait another 1.5 hours until he actually did. Any energy he had built up was gone after that wait!

That fight took about a minute until the other guy (who had also been training ALOT more than Brent) got him into a lucky Arm Bar.

Doesn't he look tired?
This kid is so willing to try everything. I am glad to announce that he is done fighting because the tournament was just not fun at all. He did really well and I am proud that he took the initiative to try something new!

Planetarium

So yesterday Brent and I had the chance to go up to Salt Lake and visit with Jennifer and Jake, who were down going to a concert! We started off at Tucano's, which is always delicious! After a nice hour and a half of food we went over to the Clark Planetarium! I had never been there. This one only made money off of their shows so the rest of the exhibits were free!

Brent on the Moon!

Brent chillin on Mars

Me on the moon! Can you see the phone that is hidden? I was talking to my mom about our upcoming trip! I wonder if my mom realizes I am doing this type of stuff whenever we talk!
Brent is learning what the sun looks like from different planets! Did you know the further away you get the less bright it is? I know, I was surprised too!

In the gift shop! I really wanted both of these!

ALIEN GLASSES!
After some fun planetarium time we made sure to walk around the Gateway!

It was a fun filled afternoon! It is always fun doing something that is there but has been neglected! Thank you Planetarium for being free and AMAZING!
